The Arizona Purchasing website is a useful
tool and centralized resource for both educational and
government procurement purchasers
/ buyers and
vendors. The site is actually two sites in one; sharing information about
buyers and projects to the vendors, and providing information about vendors
and bids to the buyers of Arizona Purchasing.

When a vendor first visits the Arizona Purchasing website, they should go to the
Prospective Vendor Application. This is where they
can enter their contact and business information, select up to five (5) industry categories (bid commodities) that communicate to the
buyers their business, select the counties in Arizona where they want to offer their products / services, and choose to receive or not receive
automated bid notifications via email based on their selected industry categories and selected counties.
Once submitting the vendor application, they can login to view solicitations
and awarded bids. Vendor contact information is only shared with AZP Subscribers.
The
Vendor’s Corner allows vendors to make
changes to their account, modify selected industry categories and opt-in or
out of receiving automated bid notifications via email. They have full
control of their contact and industry information.
Logging into the solicitations page lets
vendors view and download active RFP,
bids, requests for
proposal and
solicitations. Sometimes a
solicitation / RFP can be more
than just one document. It can include a specification spreadsheet and
perhaps one or more addendums. All of these documents can be downloaded from the
solicitations page. If a particular
requests for proposal / bid falls within
one of the industry categories selected by the vendor, the vendor is emailed
upon posting of the bid, and emailed when any addendums are uploaded to Arizona Purchasing.
Vendors can easily place a "No Bid" by following a link in the initial
automated bid notification email they received upon posting of the RFP /
bid. Learn about the importance of placing a "No Bid" by going here:
No Bid Overview.
The awarded bids page lists all of the closed and awarded projects,
bids, requests for
proposal and
solicitations. It shows
the project’s name and number, as well as the vendor awarded the resulting contract.
Experience has taught us that this type of follow up information is very
helpful so vendors can keep up with their markets.
The keys to success of Arizona Purchasing is
the ease of use of the site for both buyers and vendors, the ability for
AZP Subscribers to instantly notify vendors of
RFP /
bid postings, and the centralized resource of the
